I will fight for Wakefield
I have proudly called this community home for over 30 years. During that time, I have seen our city at its best, thriving, connected, and full of opportunity. I have also witnessed its steady decline over the past five years under the current Labour-led council. Like many residents, I understand the challenges we face because I experience them every day.
I am standing as a local councillor because I believe our city deserves better. Better leadership, better decisions, and a stronger focus on the needs of the people who live and work here. This is not about politics as usual. It is about restoring pride in our community and making sure local voices are properly heard.
For many years, I believed in the Conservative Party when it stood for local people and practical solutions. Sadly, it has become clear that it is no longer able to meet the challenges we face. At the same time, Labour’s performance, both nationally since gaining power and locally for the past 50 years, has shown that they do not understand what it takes to run a country, or even a city, effectively. Their approach risks further harm to our towns, our livelihoods, and the future of communities like ours.
That is why I have chosen to stand with Reform UK. I believe in putting local people first, in common sense policies, and in taking clear, decisive action to turn things around. My priorities are simple. Safer streets, stronger local services, support for local businesses, and a council that works for the people.
This campaign is about more than one election. It is about standing up for our city, protecting what matters, and building a future we can all be proud of. I am committed to listening, acting, and delivering real change for our community.
